Informatics

This course is intended to provide students with a conceptual and practical understanding of information and communication systems, how they are used. Concepts include meaningful use in electronic health records (EHR), health informatics exchange, quality improvement strategies, public health informatics, and ethical applications of informatics. The current and future role of the health care informatics profession will be discussed.
