Global Health Perspectives

This course provides an overview of global health challenges and explores how culture influences health beliefs, practices, and systems worldwide. Students will explore how underrepresented populations perceive illness, interpret wellness, and interact with health care systems. Topics include cross-cultural views of illness, the effects of health disparities on communities, and the role of healthcare professionals in delivering culturally competent care in a global context.
