Anthropology of Peace and Human Rights

The central aim of this course is to prepare students for advanced research and careers in peacebuilding and human rights. It does so by focusing on current debates, open questions, and challenges. By exploring contemporary issues such as conflict management, legal pluralism, humanitarian intervention, and conceptions of justice in crosscultural end ecological settings, students engage in critical dialogue on the complexities of cultural relativism, human rights, and peace.
