Biostatistics

Logic and language of scientific methods in life science research; use of basic statistics in testing hypotheses and setting confidence limits. Simple and multiple regression and elementary experimental designs. BST 601 is a 4-credit course for MPH students. There are no formal prerequisites for this course; however, familiarity and comfort with basic mathematical concepts is essential. The minimum technical skills required include the ability to use Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
