Communications Research Methods

A class centering on understanding the relationships between philosophy, theory, and research methods used in the study of communication. The class focuses on experimental, survey, textual analyses, and naturalistic inquiries. Students will develop a working knowledge of both quantitative and qualita- tive data analyses procedures as well as being able to critically appraise communication research.
