This course is designed to expose students to various cultures, and the methods, values, and beliefs that organize family life and human development. Students will examine how the intersections of race, class, culture, gender, ethnicity and sexuality shape and affect the lives of individuals and families and the therapeutic process itself. Intervention practices, social advocacy models, and resistance strategies will be reviewed.
