The course delves into the scientific and technological fundamentals of renewable energy sources, including passive and active solar systems (high, medium, and low temperature thermal solar collectors, as well as photovoltaic systems), wind energy, biomass and bio-energy, waste management, hydrogen, hydroelectric power, and geothermal systems. In addition, the course will cover the practical aspects of renewable energy systems, including design development, exploitation, and monitoring.
