Europe, 1815-1989

An examination of Europe from the rise of socialism in the nineteenth century to its fall in the twentieth. Topics include "the long nineteenth century," European Imperialism(s), the rise and fall of twentieth-century dictatorships, the world wars, the Cold War, and the fall of communism. Emphasis will be placed on cultural, economic, social, and political transformations.
