Oceanography ("ocean"= the marine environment, and "graphy"= the study of) is literally the study of the marine environment. In practice, oceanography is an interdisciplinary science at the intersection of geology, chemistry, physics and biology. Marine Science II focuses on fundamental concepts in chemical and biological oceanography.
