Introduction to Family Nurse Practitioner

The focus of this course is to introduce the nurse practitioner student to the nurse practitioner role. Family Nurse Practitioner students will become familiar with the dynamics of the provider-patient relationship, the complex components of the nurse practitioner education, and the many facets of the professional role. Students will also be introduced to the concept of differential diagnosis. The required on-campus intensive will take place during this course.
