Law and Film

This course focuses on the portrayal of courts, cases, lawyers, and law in major motion pictures. The course examines the extent to which films that focus on law are affected by the legal, political, and pop culture at the time of their production as well as the extent to which films shape society’s perceptions, whether correctly or incorrectly, of law and the legal profession.
