Exploration of music theatre literature, performances, historical, analytical and critical trends from the early 20th century to the present day. Areas of exploration include music theatre as a work of art with unique conversations about aesthetics and form, as an entertainment media shaped by its historical and cultural context, and as a viable performance form for the 21st century. Theatre majors who do not earn a grade of "C" or higher must repeat this course.
