The Performing Arts Department is dedicated to fostering an environment that inspires research and experimentation in performance, thereby pioneering groundbreaking systems of drama, dance, and music that enable culturally conscious artists to express in their own distinctive languages and voices. The three pillars of the Performing Arts program—performing cultural knowledge, invention, and art education—guide a community of artists and scholars through art forms that story the human condition.
