The primary mission of the Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) Program at Marshall University is to train doctoral-level psychologists who are highly-skilled generalists possessing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet the unique behavioral health needs of those who identify with rural, underserved, and marginalized populations. Because of the program's location in the heart of Appalachia, there is a special emphasis on serving vulnerable populations in the Appalachian region.
