This major provides knowledge of major terms, theories, and concepts used in the study of crime and the criminal justice system, and its various parts and functions. Students complete 33 hours of major courses, 13 hours of other required courses, 18 hours of minor courses, and nine hours of electives in addition to General Education, preparing graduates for professional employment in law enforcement, corrections, and related fields.
