The Associate Degree Surgical Technology Curriculum leads to an associate in applied science degree and is designated as an extended degree program in that the student must complete a minimum of 78 or more required credit hours. A graduate may be employed at a hospital operating room, surgical center or private office setting. Successful completion of the program requirements qualifies the student to take the National Certification Examination for the Surgical Technologist.
