Carpentry
Rochester Community and Technical College
The Carpentry major is designed to prepare students for careers as carpenters in residential and commercial construction, furniture manufacturing, cabinet shops and building maintenance fields. Course instruction includes carpentry theory, shop practice, foundations, rough framing, interior and exterior finishing, blueprint reading and cost estimating. Students will have hands on experience with power tools including nails guns, power saws and various woodworking equipment.
