Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The need for professional firefighters in our region is strong, yet the interest is waning. Employment of firefighters is projected to grow 4 percent from 2021 to 2031, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Recently, SUNY CCC has been approached by the Corning Joint Fire District (CJFD) with a request to collaborate on the development of a pipeline to the field of Fire Protection Technology. This micro-credential is a result of this collaboration.
