The Program in Art History and Visual Studies offers a BA in Art History that prepares students for professional careers or further advanced study. A course of study in the major provides students a broad overview of the history of art and an opportunity to study the visual cultures of East Asia, Latin America, ancient Greece and Rome, medieval Europe and Byzantium, the Islamic world, early modern Europe, Modern Europe and/or global modern and contemporary art.
