Chemical engineers apply the principles of science and mathematics to solve problems involving the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, and food, designing processes and equipment for large-scale manufacturing. Civil engineers conceive, design, build, and maintain infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors, including roads, buildings, bridges, and water systems.
