The certificate programs at WVU offer masters-prepared nurses the opportunity to earn a certificate in family nurse practitioner (FNP), psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), and nurse executive leadership (NEL) specialties. PMHNP applicants must provide evidence of completion of stand-alone graduate level courses in advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacotherapeutics, and advanced physical assessment, and evidence of national certification and licensure as an APRN.
