The Gender Studies major examines historical and contemporary issues of gender, sexuality, race, and class. Students analyze the social construction of sex, gender, and sexuality in historical and contemporary contexts through the organization and mobilization of relations of power, and develop the skills and theoretical knowledge to pursue scholarly research in the field.
