Philosophy
West Virginia Wesleyan College
Philosophy, literally 'love of wisdom,' engages the enduring questions of our humanity: What is Truth? What is Reality? What are our obligations to other people? Philosophy courses help students develop their own perspectives on these large questions while sharpening critical thinking skills. Career choices philosophy majors pursue include law, medicine, theology, writing, and teaching, and some prepare for graduate work in philosophy.
