PMHNP III continues to build on the role of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the life span. Continuation of advanced concepts in neuroscience and incorporating current scientific knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and neurochemistry, and its application to clinical problems seen in a variety of settings. Emphasis will be placed on the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment of mental health disorders.
